The Arjay Conception

my thoughts keep coming

OMFG…LMFAO

News hounds have sniffed the advertisement for the raunchy new show, Gossip Girls, featuring the acronym OMFG. When the show’s creator was interviewed, he commented that if asked by 10 different people, OMFG may mean 10 different things. I asked 5, and it was a consensus among us that it meant Oh My Fucking Goodness.OMFG

The show is supposedly geared toward a 20+ year old audience. However, the show depicts numerous sexual encounters and other mature themes involving teenagers (not unlike movies such as American Pie, Date Movie, and Superbad). Thus, parents and intellectuals (those without children, LOL) all over the country are furious that this show is secretly targeting their kids.

I have some BREAKING NEWS for you parents:

GtFOI! (Get the Fuck Over It!) If you don't want your teen watching the show you have a few options:

  1. Make sure the tv is off
  2. Program the tv so that it won't play that show (but be sure to go ahead and add MTV, BET and shows seen on various other networks)
  3. Have your kids stack bricks in the yard like Joe Jackson
  4. Just get rid of the tv (then make sure your kid is home during the show time)
  5. Or...you could talk to your kid about sex and the things that they have looong since been seeing on tv, primetime or not.

Sex is not new. Teen sex is not new. And the fact that your teen may be interested in it, doing it, or watching it, isn’t top secret. Wake up! Stop being angry with the show. Use this as an opportunity to have an open dialogue and converse with your teenager. Direct your anger toward yourself for working so much, being too permissive, or not communicating. WTF?!
