1. Obama is Black, but Black is only a superficial description, the Black Experience is something totally different. Understand it.
2. Just because he looks like you, doesn’t mean he is thinking about you. People are naturally self-serving, first. Make yourself known. Sell you.

I was in some political training last month when, to my surprise, I was introduced to the term “communities of color.” I remember thinking, “Wow, that’s different…colorful…unique.”
Then, in my online communities, I began to pay attention and I noticed they were talking about POCs…people of color…and WOCs…women of color. And I thought, “Damn, that’s…special.” keep reading about blackness

My friend and I like to engage in astrology from time to time as some relief from the neurotic topic of religion. Noting that Presidential Elect Barack Obama has been repeatedly cited in the news as being age 47, prompted me to inquire about his birthday–because the last time I remembered, he was 46.
